Prestige Classes for Casters (NWN2)
 

If I take a prestige class like the Eldritch Knight or Pale Master which allows me to continue improving my spellcasting, will I continue getting new spell levels or will the extra slots and spells known only apply to the spell levels I already have?

You continue gaining new spells and new spell levels, but not always at every level.

Palemaster - Every other pale master level, you get new spells per day and spells known as if you had gained a level in one of your arcane spellcasting classes

Eldritch Knight - (except for level 1), you get new spells per day and spells known as if you had gained a level in one of your arcane spellcasting classes.
