Odd google question
OK. I know the answer is out there and its probally really easy but I can't seem to figure it out. When on the Google main page ( not the the tool bar) how do you clear out the search history? I know on the tool bar, there is the erase history function, but I can't find it while on the on the main page. My wife and daughter are snooping for where I got their presents and the sites are on the main page and I really want to clear it out.
Thanks |
Re: Odd google question
I'm not sure if I understand correctly, but if you mean the search box on the homepage you can press down (so it shows what you've searched) and just hold delete and it'll go through deleting them all.
Hope this helps! |

Re: Odd google question
Thanks the delete thing worked. I knew it was something easy. My Christmas surprises are safe ( and there were not any Daddy only sites listed :) )

Re: Odd google question
I'm thinking delete cookies and temp. internet files might work?
or, perhaps emitting a loud, "toot" may work as well! :) |

What browser are you using. In Firefox it's Tools->Clear private data, then make sure "saved form and search history" is checked and click ok. Or you can disable this altogether by going to Tools->Options and Privacy tab and clearing check next to "remeber what I enter in forms and search bar". I don't use IE7 much but it's there also in Tools-> Internet options Or as an alternative you can go and search for porn. Lots of it. Amidst it all your wife wouldn't notice the few sites where you got the presents. |
