I finally found an exact clue of Bodhi's true nature in ch2. I was walking past the temple of Helm in the Temple District at night, when I saw a Shadow Thief staying there. What an odd sight to behold! Thieves are not supposed to be welcome there. So I started a conversation with him, and he read me a poem about death in the night, a choice between guilds, about their war. It contained some direct hints, which told me that Bodhi is a vampire. The thief said something about blood and throat, then death and undead creatures, then something about thin teeth biting through the heart (nearly), then finally he mentioned stakes as a solution. So, the proof is at last found! PC can exactly learn Bodhi's true nature in ch2.
I played elven female sorcerer, it may have something to do with triggering the spawning of that thief. |
The thief has never failed to spawn for me. No matter what my party was.
I learned that the other guild were vampires by watching all those shadow thieves getting slain by them. It's really too obvious. |
The fights were not enough to convience somebody here. We had a discussion some days ago, and from then I was looking for a proof. The fact that they drain levels is not enough for me.
|
The fact that they turn into bats and gaseous clouds are enough for me.
|
;) I never noticed bats, maybe due to the darkness. And I never killed a vampire on the streets (when I get high enough level, I go and assaul them directly), so never I encountered a vampiric mist. OK, another proof!

Assuming FR has the same kinds of ghost stories we do, the gaseous form, level drain, and ability to become a bat right before your eyes would all lead my PC, who has a decent INT score (note, old AD&D rule of thumb is INT X 10 = IQ) to discern that it wasn't just some nasty thief. But, the situation is obvious because anytime I roll my cursor over them it says "Vampire." :D Duh! :D
My PC might still joint them you know. |
I kinda guessed when I saw Bodhi's pale skin and the blood running down her chin.
|
Proof? What proof! I said so, then it is so! :D
|
I don't actually care about Bodhi's nature! :D
 I side with her over the Shadow Theives everytime if I can. It depends on whether Keldorn (The Self-Righteous Paladin who won't side with her) is on my side or not. |
what is more beneficial? siding with Bohdi, or siding with the shadow thieves, I've sidedwith the thieves everytime, but I've always been a thief, so the rewards on my part were obvious, what if i side with her?
