I feel ill.. Dizzy and Neck aches...
As you know, I've been putting in crazy long hours getting the forum done, 16-20 hour days, And my neck is aching from keeping it in one position for a long time--gets stiff, aches and now, I feel slightly dizzy--not like vertigo, just slight motion sickness. (No headache) but it feels like by head is swollen..lol. no pain, nothing like that. and the slight dizziness is upsetting my stomach a bit...
If it keeps up, I'll see my Doctor, but I wanted to ask, anyone here ever get this feeling from a stiff neck/aching neck? I hear it can cause all those symptoms... Anyway, I'm sure it's fine, but wanted to ask. :) |

Yeah I have a bad neck (old baseball injury) Which can give me migranes, make me dizzy at times.
I find getting massage every month or so really helps in keeping the muscles loose. A nice hot shower works as well. |

Cool, yeah I've been up too long--all night-- so I'm gonna lay down to sleep. Took some Motion sickness medicine and should help..
When I lay down though, I feel weird, like I'm being drowned--but can breathe fine.. just the dizziness I guess.. freaky. :D |

Probably the weird hours and the hunched over the pc position, Z! Try and get some regular sleep for a few days!

Maybe an ear thing? that can make you dizzy and stuff, but not sure of the neck connection

Yeah, cap is on the right track. I wager it is your facial sinuses that are blocked. This would explain the dizziness (since they are connected to the ears) and the feeling of suffocation you are having (especially when laying on your back). Neck stiffness is often a sign too, mainly because of the extra "weight" in your head. It's a sinking feeling, like your nose is collapsing into your face, lol. And yeah, the dizziness isn't a spinning like vertigo, but more like a slight disorientation, as if your head is falling to the side. Sound familiar?
Get yourself some Psuedophedrine before hitting the doc and see if it improves. If you have some red Cayenne pepper at home that will help also. Take a half spoonful with water if you can hack the taste, if you feel clearer suddenly that's what it is. Have you been exposed to irritates like smoke, dust, or pollen lately? The onset of a sinus issue is usually caused by these, otherwise it can simply be a compromised immune state. We are all "allergic" to something, just some people more than others have reactions more often which is usually due to an already struggling immune state like I said above. |

Then again, if you've been at the pc for that long it wouldn't be surprising for you to have RSI-like symptoms like an aching neck. I have that all the time, and it gives me headaches sometimes.
As for the dizzyness, that also might come from staring at a screen for too long. |
