[ALERT] Conversion 100% done - Passwords will remain for your accounts

Wow, this new importer version not only imports PMs, but PASSWORDS TOO! I dunno how, because they are encrypted, but hey, NICE! I was worried I'd have to do a mass email with all new PWs.. Glad I don't have to! :D

The ONLY login detail change is your DISPLAY NAME will be your login name on the new forum, so remember it well

Once we get to the new forum, I plan on deleting defunct accounts that have been idle for over 2 years or more. (Some I will keep--like Animals account--I just want to. ya know?). And others--old members we knew that are gone, just for memories sake.

Will we have a chatroom on the new forum?

Ladyzekke 08-03-2007 10:06 AM

I don't blame you for wanting to keep Animal's account, Ziroc. I copied over his PMs to my PC just...cause. And I'm glad we get the same passwords so I don't have to memorize another, yay!

Yeah a chatroom would be cool again Johnny, if people can behave themselves that is! I still have screenshots of the crap that went down last time we had one.

Heh, my memory of events is genuinely hazy now. Seems like sooo long ago.

But I remember havin some of the most fun I ever had on Ironworks in there.

That's easy to overcome, the chatroom needs one or two moderators who keep an eye on things, that's usually how other sites work as well. If someone breaks the rules, he's banned from the chat, it's as simple as that.

RIP Animal... :-( A guy before your time who we all miss... and a reminder that our internet friends are not just bits and bytes, they are real people who feel, react, and sometimes pass away. The only reason we keep interacting is beacause there's a human on the other end of that handle...

As promised, BTW, in my post in the "In Memory of Animal" thread, this is the video to the piece I did for him. You are still missed, Animal.

Also note, for any that may want it, the piece, as it appears on my CD is available for free download on my site, click the link in my sig.

I reread Animal's farewell and tribute threads today... and again, his words (and our responses) struck straight through to my core.

Rest in peace yet again, Animal... and for everyone else, give 'em a hug... you never know when it will be the last one.

Waiting for my family to get home again to apply a dose of my own advice...
