I have the F stronghold, and am now dualed to a thief. The most recent stronghold even, IIRC, was that I found a guy to run the temple in my keep, which is way cool. But, it's been a while. What's my next trigger?

Its time based, once per game week. If its been longer than that, it may be something to do with you dualing to thief, but AFAIK that shoudnt have had any effect.

After about two weeks (gameplay), a messenger should come to you. That triggers the next event, IIRC. ;) </font>

I'm bumping this in hopes I get another reply or two. I know there is a detail of each stronghold quest somewhere. I've seen the one for fighter before. As I just acquired the priest, I think my next occurrence should be some kind of war.

Any other info folks?

After helping Nalia with her problems at the keep, she'll offer you the keep. Take it, or you'll lose it! You get a total of 500 gp in taxes each week. You can raise taxes to 1,000 a week, but I don't recommend it! The populace might revolt and throw you out of the keep! You should return to the keep every time it says it has more gold, since there will usually be a visitor there to see you. Hmmmm.... Quests!
Quest 1: An angry merchant visits and whines about bandits in the area. He wants you to pay him for his losses. It'll cost you 1,000 gold to make him happy. You should also pay 500 gold to hire some mercenaries to keep the bandits in check. You'll get 15,000 XP for doing it this way.

Quest 2: A guard was caught stealing. Ask the guard about it and he'll tell you that he needs the money to buy medicine for his wife. Forgive him and buy him the medicine for 500 gold to get the best results!

Quest 3: A cleric of Tempus visits and wishes to open up a temple. Let him stay to increase your popularity.

Quest 4: A messenger tells you to return to the keep immediately. Lord Farthington asks that you relinquish control of the keep. Don't give it up!

Quest 5: One of your maids, Chanelle, has been proposed to by two men. It is up to you to decide who she gets. Allow her to marry Jessup and provide her with a 500 gp dowry for the best results!

Quest 6: A pair of loansharks try to hit you up for some cash that previous lords borrowed from them. Threaten them with execution and then pay off your people (1,000 gold).

Quest 7: The old dikes have broken and the land is now flooded. Pay the full 5,000 gp to repair the farms and the 2,000 gold to repair the dikes. Ouch that's gotta hurt! But it'll save you from revolt!

Quest 8: Lord Roenall leads an invasion against your lands. You are asked to face him on the battlefield. Kill him to stop the battle. The keep is now yours and is protected from revolt (except from taxation!) until the end of the game!

just do the good judgement, youll have more experience when you do it. the quests will happen everyweek (or when you rest and it says that you have your gold in your keep).

Roenal showed up and whined that he wanted the keep back and i was a lowly serf. I told him to f*** off. So, my main concern - that i had a bug or wasn't doing something right - is gone.

So - i think i'll be a good sport and read your post at a later date.
