Now I see why a lot of people don't like Aerie...she gets plain annoying, and Jaheira isn't much better. I wish there was a switch to turn the whole romance thing off.

It seems like every time I want to accomplish something, somebody wants to start a long dialog and I'm afraid to just tell them to shut the hell upo in case they decide to take off.

Jaheira just left for Harpers Hold, does this mean I have to hunt her down to get her back in the party? Does either Aerie or Jaheira eventually leave in a huff due to bickering, never to come back?

If you have shadowkeeper, change the variable. JAHEIRAROMANCEACTIVE = 3 or Aerie or whoever is annoying you.

I only botherd to have a romance with Viconia. It is by far the easiest-to-handle relationship that there is because you can talk dirty to her and she keeps on crawling back. [img]graemlins/firedevil.gif[/img]

for all the getting rid of jahieras romance i understand but i wanna try to ahve a romance with aeire and i don;t know how to start it how does one START a romance? yer 100% right when you say jahieras romance is annoying tho:-p

As far as im concerned the Jehira romance isnt worth the trouble. If you say even slightly the wrong thing she will not talk to you with that soft romantic music in the background ever again :'( :D

Actually, I think the romances add a lot of depth and playability to the game. It's something unique to BG2 and the system they used to run it is quite simple but effective. The whole concept of NPC-initiated dialogue using real-time timers and variables is well done.

Easy way to get out of the romances without having your women storming off is to treat them the same way you'd treat a real-life girl who's keen on you but you're not keen on - politely, but firmly and respectfully. ;)
