Ok, got the new rig up and running smooth, but if I log into NWN's after playing NWN's 2, I get this wierd glitch where it looks like I'm getting about 1,000fps. I click to move to an area, and I teleport there, more than walk/run. Also, the screen gets to shaking, and if I roll the camera, the tiles are misplaced all over the place, like I'm moving too fast for the game to process. The vid card is an nVidia 7600GT, with the latest drivers. I had this glitch appear again tonight, but I hadn't been in NWN 2.

Note that I don't have any problems with this in NWN's 2, with all the settings maxed out, even if I play for an extended period of time.

The suggestion in the OP seems to have fixed the problem for me. I figured I'd post it here in case anyone else comes across the same problem.
