My sister-in-law got my nephew an mp3 player, brand RCA emusic1. She is having trouble with it and mentioned that she read about a firmware patch for it, but was unable to find it. I went to the website and looked at all firmware patches, but none of those listed is her player.
This is what it is doing. If the mp3 player is plugged up to the PC, it will play normally. If it is on stand-alone mode, it only turns on to the RCA intro screen and nothing more afterward. Can anyone help me find this patch that I am starting to doubt is out there, or have any other ideas? She said that she's e-mailed the company support, but they have not bothered to reply in a reasonable amount of time. Her plan is to report their bad customer supprt to the BBB. |
Couple thoughts, are you sure the files were actually downloaded to the player and not just played via the pc? I have an rca lyra and don't recall being able to play files on the player thru the pc, by that I mean using the players buttons to control playing music on the pc. I don't use it much it might be that way but I don't rember it working like that.
It seems you have to press "M" for a couple seconds to bring up the menu after that make sure it's on music and not voice. It seems that model is a mp3 player and voice recorder/player. The only issues I could find online about playing problems were people that didn't switch to music instead of voice. I couldn't find any info on this "stand-alone mode", is your sister in law gadget orentated if not maybe you should set it up for her. |
