I've got some old HDs (1995-2000). I suspect some of them are burnt/damaged already.

Will there be any issues if I try and connect them to a new mobo (asus M2N). I'm asking this because I once burnt a PC after putting old RAm to it, so I'd rather be sure this time. Can it cause any damage to the mobo/HD?

No. just make sure you insert the power plug correctly into the hd (or you wil blow the drive) and that you set the jumpers correctly.
