... and I'm feelin' geeky :D
I just upgraded the "brain" in my electronic drum kit to a Roland TD-6. http://www.audio-electric-shop.de/sh...Roland-TD6.jpg It's not the top of the line, but a step up... and something I can justify to my beloved. Well, almost... :D This may not mean a lot to many of the folks on here, but it's one word to me... FUN! It has five times the available drum kits than the old brain, 170 songs built-in to play along with, over 1,000 drum and percussion sounds to use... and stuff I haven't figured out yet! It's really as exciting as a new game, folks! I'm spending quality time with the manual and with just playing around to see what it does.... :D Figured I'd share... I'll be spending lots of my spare time with it, I think... |
Hmph
I need to find myself a drum kit. Going crazy... it's been four months without touching a kit! |
Hey, gratz Bungleau.
I know exactly how you feel. New musical toys are just as good as a new game...maybe better. Of course, more often than not, they're at least 5x as expensive. I just today purchased a bass head and cabinet (300W Warwick and a suitable Ampeg cabinet) in order to play with my drummer and not be drowned out. I've now got more weight in my amp/cabinet than I do...in me lol. I'm sure I've inadvertantly told the neighbors about it already. |
Cool toy...My neighbors may not like my Roland ST90 much on some days...But hey, it's tons of fun when I can actually stand to turn it on. Migraines intefere with loud music enjoyment, a lot of the time.
