and I need a few brave souls with cranked up anti virus programs and firewalls to help me confirm if its my computer or the webpage.
I go to Sydney Morning Herald for news and such, and for the first time (in an official website), I found a trojan in the webpage trying to sneak in. Fortunately by antivirus scanner found it, plugged it and sent it bye bye. I was wondering if its only me who detected this antivirus and hoping for a few volunteers to test the webpage link below. http://blogs.smh.com.au/lifestyle/al...ions_of_1.html The virus that was found is this: http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y31...mcityvirus.jpg Anyone heard of it? Nothing on my end mate. Tested on 3 PC's all running differnt Virus scanners.
Could be a false Positive result? |
I know, its highly unlikely SMH would be infected, and low chance it would happen but I posted it just in case in the blog ;)
Thanks for the heads up |
Well... Firefox is preventing a pop up for me. I'm not sure I'd know if AVG picked it up. I've never as far as I know got a virus while using it, so I'm not sure if it gives an alert or anything.

It probably tried to sneak through in the advertising. If you remember which ad was playing, you could report it.
