Well today I'm heading off to singleton for my first mine rescue competition.

Pretty nervous, but at the same time pretty damn excited.
I am going to look at it as more of a learning experiance rather than a competition, mainly because I still don't know it all, but I reckon it's gonna be great!

Anyways, anyone else here ever been to anything similar? I know they do them all over the world, so surely someone must have.

So yeah, I'm back from the comp and it was great!
We didn't win, though we always knew that a metaliferous mine (we mine gold/copper) would never win a coal comp, but competitions are the closest thing to real life so its always good to get in and learn.

I might be able to get some pics soon, but not sure!
