Well today I'm heading off to singleton for my first mine rescue competition.
Pretty nervous, but at the same time pretty damn excited. I am going to look at it as more of a learning experiance rather than a competition, mainly because I still don't know it all, but I reckon it's gonna be great! Anyways, anyone else here ever been to anything similar? I know they do them all over the world, so surely someone must have. Anyways, wish me luck! :D (good luck that is) |
Good luck! You'll be fine, just make sure you have fun too.
I also think you double posted. EDIT -- Typo. Also ironiclly, I double posted this. Whoops *hides* [ 11-01-2006, 05:40 PM: Message edited by: Dragonshadow ] |

Mine rescue competition.. Sounds fun! What does that involve?

Did you ever play that old NES game called Digger T Rock? :D
Good luck hive. You should do great unless that Beaconsfield crew rocks up. |

So yeah, I'm back from the comp and it was great! We didn't win, though we always knew that a metaliferous mine (we mine gold/copper) would never win a coal comp, but competitions are the closest thing to real life so its always good to get in and learn. I might be able to get some pics soon, but not sure! |
Ya, post us a pic of yer best 1920s "hollywood black man" impression. :D
