A search looks like A78X-MX is a motherboard, and you may be using the built-in sound. Is that the case?
|
No it is a seperate sound card from everything Ive seen.....At least thats what the guy who built it told me
|
Im checking out that link right now
|
How new is the CP?
Has the sound *ever* worked? What was changed recently? |
The sound used to work then a virus hit it and it had to be reconfigured....When the dude reinstalled windows, the audio drivers were not installed with it........

Well, there's a simple way to check. Open up your computer case, and check whether there is a sound card inserted in one of the PCI slots. (These are the PCI slots).
It'll probably be made by Creative, if there is one, so have a good look at any cards in there to check. If you can't figure it out, try taking a picture and someone on here might be able to identify it. |

How about.. 1. The OEM of the sound card. 2. What kind of CP do you have..i.e., Dell, Sony, generic? |
I got in touch with the guy that built the computer, hes a friend of mine, and told him about the problem....Hes reformatting, reinstalling, and rewritting all the stuff tommorow...Hes also working with the best motivation of all....the fact that Im bigger than he is and I have a shiny new mace from the Renassaince festival...Fear is the best motivation....
