How can I make Opera my default browser?

I was looking for a post about the "Fat Lady" singing...

Edit: In Windows XP, I think you can use the "Progam Access and Defaults" to set up your default browser. Barring that, you can pin it to the start menu, or create a shortcut on your desktop to use.

That thingy only lets me switch back to IE.

I have shortcuts. But whenever some other application tries to use internet, it starts Firefox.

1. Open Tools > Preferences > Advanced > Programs and click Details
2. Mark "Check if Opera is default browser at startup"
3. Restart Opera and click OK when prompted
