This morning, from a cave somewhere in Pakistan, Taliban Minister of Migration, Mohammed Omar, warned the United States that if military action against Iraq continues, Taliban authorities will cut off America's supply of convenience store managers.

And if this action does not yield sufficient results, cab drivers will be next, followed by hotel desk clerks and Dell customer service reps.

It's getting ugly.

Suddenly I'm feeling very hawkish. But let's be real, this threat means nothing coming from a cave and not New Dehli.

BTW, with Dell you can pay to never have to talk to an overseas tech rep. I know, because I do.

they just import them here, so even though you cant understand a word, its not overseas!

I got it with the premium service package. The same package that lets me get a live person to yell at for free when my machine fritzes.

i hate those stupid answer phones "Press 1 for.... or "Enter your customer number....

i have recently had great success avoiding that crap by ringing, and when it asks for a customer number i just say "dunno" and it puts me straight throguh to a real live person.

same when it asks you to push 1,2, oe 3. i push hash, star or 9, after a bit, hey presto: Operator!

I just don't push any buttons...confuses their system...
