Do you live from paycheck to paycheck? We kinda do sometimes, but we do have some emergency credit cards that we only use in DIRE times.

Yes, i do. No matter how much money i make, it's always gone by the end of the month. I never ever save a single penny. I don't even know how i do it, but it's all going down the drain. And then sometimes you run into situations that make you wish you DID save some money from time to time, like i'm in now. The house i rent, is up for sale. The owner has made a financial mess, and now the bank is threatening to take his possessions, the house being one of em. Should the bank do so, i have one month to pack my stuff and move out, new house or no. So he informed me that he's trying to sell the house as soon as possible, and advised me to start looking for a new place to stay, which could take years here in the Netherlands. Apart from that, i'm not exactly prepared for moving, as that costs a small fortune.

Damn, i completely redecorated this place last year, and now this...

Paycheque? You're having a laugh!

I live from paycheck to paycheck about 90% of the time... but mostly because I dropped most of my hours at work to be able to go to school full time! So I have to plan how I use my money very carefully. And sometimes I have to juggle things around to make sure everything gets taken care of. But it's all good in the end. :D

Well I have pocket money but I take it as a paycheck. I get it every end of the month and quite a lot and always spend it whole altough when I need new soccer shoes I will not spend nothing and wait for another month to have sufficinet amount of money to buy them.

I'm in the same boat as Vailynn. Ie, I'm a student/pauper. Well, pauper by 1st world standards anyway, I'd be an aristocrat in the 3rd world

Aww Johnny, I'm really sorry to hear that! Hope things will work out for you mate! *hugs*

Oh, and I'm a paycheck-to-paycheck kinda person too. Like Hiero says I'm a student/pauper. :D Actually I do feel rich, I have so much stuff! No one in the first world is as poor as the poor in the third world.
Anyway I do try and save a little money occasionally, but a couple of months ago I had to use my savings for some emergency buys.

Yeah, honestly dude. Flat-hunting is the mother of all bitches aint it? It may take a little while, but somehow, someday, you'll find the perfect place. Location, quality, sun, price. It'll all just fall into place. :D Take care man.

Sometimes!!! I keep track of what I make per month and try to stay on the plus side. If I end up going negative then I have to make sacrifices the next month. Normally I am on the plus side so I save for a time until something occurs like the roof leaking and now needs repair.

Thanks guys. The owner in question is my brother by the way, talk about a feeling of being let down eh ?

Anyway, i registered in my town of birth too (Den Bosch). I always wanted to go back there someday, so i might just as well start looking now. I'm on a list though, and i won't have any chance of finding something until 3 years from now, and i have absolutely no hope of getting to stay in this house for that long. Something better pops up, or i'm in deep shit.
