I'm creating a site for my ict class and I need some info on screen resolutions, due to the size of some pitures I created.
Thanks for your help! [ 12-13-2003, 08:25 AM: Message edited by: philip ] |
what res were you considering anyway?
|
1024*768, it seemed to me that it's be the most used one. I expected that nobody would change resolution (that's why there's no depends choice) just for a site so maybe it'd be better if I make it look good in 800*600 that would automatically be ok in 1024*768 though the letters would be small then. 800*600 screens are so small to put nice and readable buttons in
|
Well I think 1024*768 is the best to go for. And I think most people (including me) said no to changing res because it would really be a hastle just for the one page, unless of course it was utterly amazing ;)

I use 1024*768 and no, I probably wouldn't change the resolution just for one page. Unless, of course, it's something special.
|
I think it's quite safe to make it at 1024*768, looking at the votes and in my class. Though if you look at it in a smaller window or at 1024*768 it looks really bad, half pictures, menus that don't fit

When I make a website, I always make my pages in 1024*768, but using tables, so that it can fit in a 800*600 resolution, too.
|
I'm using frames as well wouldn't that be a problem with 800*600, as my menu is in a table but it stays the same at 800*600. Do tables automatically resize pictures to fit in the other resolution? Can I target table cells with javascript, then that would be a good solution?

Mine is 1024*768.
