This Gay Marraige Issue is confusing. On one hand, you got the Vatican saying that Homosexuality is not the intention of God (or it offends him) on the other hand, Homosexuals have suffered endlessly since the beginning of time. So, I'll let YOU end MY confusion...or at least try...or destroy my braincells in the process.

LOL people on IW have BIG opinions on this subject. There was a discussion on this topic in the Current Events forum just last month. Here's the two threads if you want to take a look

Sorry, have to go with common sense. I'm not much of a believer, and I hate it when the curch gets into someones business and denies him happiness. If you're gay, you're gay, can't mend it and I think they don't want to be mended.

This little issue is about as bad as in the 60's with the Black Rights. If your gay then be gay! I have nothing against you! At least Canada's going for legalizing gay marriages....

OMG it's a dead horse!!!!! ;)

I don't care much about #1 and #2 but I think gays are quite "repulsive". The thought of man-to-man intercourse and other sexual activities turn my stomach upside down.

But as far as marriage is concerned, they (gays) can marry whomever he wish as long as I am not taking any part in it. Yuck!

My views on it:

Marriage is and always was between man and woman. However, the problem with the gay marriage thing is more or less that there are benefits to being married which they are denied.

My suggestion is that the US stops giving... let's call them "perks" to married people.

While I do not believe that the churches should be forced to consecrate gay marriages I do believe that such a union should be available for gay couples as a legal institution.

Anyone should be allowed to marry each other, else no one should. Stuff that's restricted to a certain gender, skin-colour, or, as in this case, a combination of genders shouldn't be legal. It's just as dumb as saying that blacks shouldn't be allowed to marry whites and then claim it isn't racism.
