I read in a magazine yesterday that only 46% of women shower twice a day. That seemed quite low! So tell everyone about your bathing habits

Is showering twice a day considered low?

I shower after every workday and after other manual labour, on days off I usually skip it if I haven't done anything that had made me perspire.

I shower after every workday as well. That way I can always get into a nice clean bed as it never gets grimy and I only need to change the sheets once/week.

If you shower more than that you should feel guilty for wasting water a valuable resource. As a matter of fact I would say husbands and wives should shower together as much as possible just to save water and money. Since I am a cheapskate it cuts down the cost of my water utility by not showering more than once.

A shower?! What is that!? :D
Seriously though once every 1 or 2 days.

Agreed, men and women should shower more together.

I shower before work in the morning -- it helps me wake up, and I'll shave in the shower to lessen razor burn. Many days I work out after work. Well, I don't want to befoul my bed, so I'll shower on those days before bed. So, it's twice on those days -- unfortunately.

I, too, adhere to the combined shower philosophy, Rain and I normally shower together.

Here's my take.
Once a day in the morning is enough unless work, workout, yardwork, etc. calls for another shower.

On bathing..
Why sit in a tub full of dirty water? Where exactly do you think the dirt and sweat you're washing off goes when the tub is plugged? Don't get me wrong. As an evening relaxation tool I think baths are great, but for cleaning? I find them sadly lacking.

On men and women sharing showers.
Now that's an EXCELLENT idea.

Every night

How can some people only have shower/bath only in the morning! That means they go to bed dirty. Bah

As Andy Rooney says, sure I find sitting in a tub of warm water as relaxing as anyone, but how you can get clean in a pool of dirty water is beyond me.

And adds to a happy marriage. A smile on the face bright and early every morning. :D
