I'm going to add Michael Stackpole for his BattleTech (technically SciFi I know!) and StarWars: Rouge Squadron stuff.

I would have voted Robin Hobb, but I liked Wheel of Time just a little bit better then her Living Ship Trilogy [img]smile.gif[/img]

Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman - Dragonlance. Only the novels they wrote, I imagine the ones by other authors being nowhere as good as theirs.

Oups, I didn't see Robert Jordan in the list, so voted for R.A. Salvator, but I would have voted for Jordan instead.

They wrote LOTS of other novels. You should make a search on them on Amazon.com

rut row, I didn't see Poul Anderson, Three Hearts, Three Lions nor did I see any of David Gemmel's books, Lion of Macedon(Philip of Macedonia, base line) Dark Prince (Alexander the Great, base line)are two very well wriiten books.
