Looking at the hype around LOTR these days I was wondering, what would you think if they would make a movie of the Drizzt books? Would you think that cheesy or great?

Though Drizzt Do Urden is hardly my favorite character (he ís kind of cheesy), I would definatly go and see the movie

Drizzt is a uber character of the highest order. It would be snoozeville all the way.

i don't think he has a good enough following to demand a movie. I don't think your average moviegoer knows what a drow is. and that's kinda important to the story.

true, as it is mostly only known by people who love to play rpg's and lotr has a bigger public.

Only problem is money.
I fear that project wouldn't get enought funding to start
filming and 'cause it has to locate in place you can't find in our world,
they must use much computer effects...

Sure I would like to see movie, but I doubt it's too heavy project :(

You suck Drizzt!Your weapons suck!Your armor sucks!Even your overgrown fat cat sucks!

Funny how everyone loved Drizzt until he became really popular. Now it's cool to dislike him... Kind of like music. You'll like an alternative band until they start to make a profit from their music and hard work. At that point, their original fans will say they suck. Lol

hehe, so very true Arnabas. I still like him though probably because I started reading on him recently.

I would like to see it, as long as it was NOTHING like the Dungeons and Dragons movie a few years back.
