What do you guys reckon is better? This is a simple yes or no. Hopefully you've had the chance to read both. ;)

Come on fellas, surely more of you have read both? ;)

I have to say I like Jordan better than Goodkind. Goodkind's first couple of books were truly awesome, but after that, it seemed that he kind of lost any sense of order in his world. Jordan, while agonizing slow and with some many characters that it confuses you, never loses sense of the world he created. And while sometimes he seems to lose focus on his plot, the story is engrossing.

I'd have to say Goodkind's better. His first book was wonderful, and the sixth more than made up for the ones inbetween. Jordan... is okay, but never managed to pull me into his world the way Goodkind's books did.

George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire

I like Martin a lot too. But Goodkind's better

Give me Goodkind ANY day.

Lord Starshadow reflects my feelings. Though Goodkind had two decent books in the beginning his writing through the third didn't sustain me at all. I didn't feel like spending anymore money on him. As for Jordan, I liked his first 4 or 5 books very much but he has totally lost focus. I won't spend anymore money on him, too..

I have to say I like them both, but Jordan's work I like better. The reason being his characters seem more real to me than Goodkinds. Goodkinds stories, while good, are just too...over the top. Too many hyperboles. The romance stuff (which is sure to please the women in the readership ) is just too in-your-face.

Jordans stuff has been dragging, and it's pissing a few of my friends off, but i can see how he's developing the story and I actually quite like the journey. I just hope he finishes his story before he dies! :D

I've only read the first Goodkind book, so far, but judging from the reviews put forth by other readers, I don't think the rest of the books will change my mind much.

The poll is too restrictive. Why have a poll between 2 mediocre storytellers when there are so many truly excellent tale spinners?
