This is a question that determines the very essence of your morality. and what kind of a person you are.
You are walking around the Afganistan Desert and come across a deep canyon. Suddenly you hear a cry for help and you walk towards it. And guess what there you see none else than Osama Bin Laden hanging for his life on a treebranch that is about to break and then he'll plummet to sure death. Now, you happen to have a camera with you and could either take a picture of Osama falling to his death and it would most surely be the newspicture of the year and you'd most likely get the Pulitzer prize for it OR you could reach out and grab his hand and save him. And so comes the big question... {I'll let you think about the situation for a while) What kind of lens would you use? |
I'd help him out. I don't like death in any form or way, and I will not be the cause of it myself. There are too many killings going on in the world as it is. Life is the most precious gift there is

I would have to save him, only because death is to good for that bastard!!!

Hmmmm, well, most zoom lenses do cut off a fair amount of light, requiring a longer exposure time which would not be a good idea in this case unless you had a VERY fast film. Plus, depending on the mechanism of the zoom, it might be hard to keep a moving figure in focus. I'd probably go with a 50mm lens, or maybe a fisheye.
Oh, and would I save him or take a piccy? Probably be a good idea to save him, if it didn't risk my own health, and if there was someone who could take him off neatly handcuffed for trial (not that it does much good, really). |
First I would save the sorry sob then knock him out cold. Tie him up but good, then I would take his picture, bundle him up in canvas or whaterver is handy. Load him in whatever transportation I have at my disposal, and then take him to the closest US installation, Embassy or UN Facility. That individual needs to stand public trial.
|
It will be a very short trial, first of all, they would probably not find a lawyer willing to defend him. Second, the prosecutor would only have to go "Just take a look at him!", and the jury would be convinced.
|
well, if the 25-mil dollar bounty is still up or is even true and if its only effective for him living, i'd save his ass, besides, you are already guaranteed lots! i mean, your morality check is good, people love you for what you did and you brought the bastard to justice! what's in it for killing him?
|
Sheesh, I forfot all about a bounty on his head. That never even entered my mindand in all honesty I could care less about it. The trial may indeed be short, and if so that is fine. I would still turn him in for trial though.
|
The bounty was the first thing that came to my mind.
I would take a photo and then give him a swift kick. Then collect the reward. |
Lens? To hell with the lens I'd use a video camera..
