Just wanted to now what everyones favorite board game is. I just can't get enough of Axis and Allies.

Tie between, Axis and Allies, Robo Rally and Chess.

Has anyone here played Diplomacy before? It is a very cool game. It is good with lots of people as you can get involved in all sorts of double dealings and backstabbings.

But I still think Warhammer has a special place in my heart.

followed by stratego,risk and axis+allies

Risk and then, good old-fashioned Monopoly. Gotta love the classics.

If a tabletop game is considered a board game, definately Warhammer Fantasy. No arguement, nothing even comes close.

If not, well, I enjoyed the Settlers of Catan tremendously (not sure if that's the English name), 999 Games has a good list of very interesting and surprisingly original games.

The oldies are good too, but a bit dusty. Too much time spent in the cupboard.

Axis and Allies! Oh yeah!

Fuzzy, do you have the computer version? I've played alot online, and other than a few bugs to work around it's great. Check out www.spring1942.com for ranked play.

Did you try Iron Blitz? Basically the exact same game with new options and graphics. It had lots of possibilities, but Hasbro didn't support it. They shipped it with bugs from A&A they'd already fixed with patches?!?!?!

Nothing beat's the boardgame for fun though. Any scenario you want, any options. House Rules, well...um....THEY RULE!

I have the computer game and recently (a few days ago) started playing online with my brother at the game zone. I like the computer version, but I agree that the table version is more fun.
