I'm a really easy going guy it normally takes a LOT to make me loose it, but I have two pet peeve's both have to do with driving.
1: Drivers that are reckless ie: tailgate then have the audacity (sp?) to give you the single finger salute.
2: Drivers that disobey the law and have a religious bumper sticker ie; God is my copilot....I always think to myself the way they're driving they need to change seats.

Hello John D. Harris! http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif
I have a new pet peeve...
Mere moments ago I went to open Internet Explorer and
my homepage appeared as it should...but then window after
window of 'Free Sex Pics' started opening and opening until
out of memory bla bla...every time i would close one of
those windows - two more would open up! Argh!
I did a number on my files...searching and deleting and
praying and then finally I opened it - problem solved
I hope!
I know whoever made this virus, or whatever the $%#& it was,
probably was just trying to stick it to Microsoft...but then
they had to go and get me involved! Look out you sons ahahaaaaa...

Hello Djinn Raffo,
I know what you mean about the never ending pop-up prono. I solved the problem by e-mailing one of the sites and telling them that my mommy and daddy didn't want me to see that kind of stuff, I haven't got'n any more in two years.

People who incorrectly spell the word FLOCCULANT, because the stupid MSWORD spell checker always wants to "correct" it to FLOCCULENT. The liquid used to flocculate is flocculant, and the adjective describing the action of forming floccules is flocculent. Arrrrgggghhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!

My pet peeves are the misuse of grammar and the misspelling of words by native English speakers who have made it through at least the eighth grade in the American school system.

Speaking of which, Mr. Harris, may I bring to your attention that the word is irritate, not irrate, and peeve when made plural does not include an apostrophe, as it is not possessive?

Thanks ever so much for introducing this topic. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

I do gently tease my friends about their mistakes (or mitsakes, as Davros puts it... right, Davros?), so this is not meant to start a flame war, but you did ask. And while spelling and grammar may not seem like a big deal, the overall quality of written English by adults in the U.S.A. has become rather poor. If your nurse or doctor cannot spell the word calendar correctly (or the plural), would you expect them to have a better knowledge of math and be able to get your medications dosed out correctly? If the pilot of the plane you are riding in cannot write a grammatical sentence (which he should have mastered in grade school), do you really trust him with the complicated task of flying?

AliCat, no flame war here. I saw those mistakes after I clicked on the submit button. Sorry but I couldn't edit the topic. So I was waiting on the chastisment. Guilty as charged. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/FRblush.gif
