( Yes I've searched on Google and on the forum to find the answer..no help.

And yes, I looked in a thread Luvian posted )

Windows crashed, so I forced a reboot and everything was fine.

Except when I opened firefox I have no bookmarks, which means I have no tabs.

I have all my custom search engines on the little search bar in the top right, and I have history, and my passwords/cookies saved (didn't have to log into IW).

I've tried making new profiles, loading the only one I have (which is perfectly named, default).

Any ideas?

Only suggestion I have is to ask on the IRC channel: #firefox on moznet.org

Firefox keeps your bookmarks in a folder. If you can find that folder, you should be able to restore it one way or another. Unfortunately, I don't have the XP patch to fix the Search option in Explorer...

When things have blown up in the past, I've found that a new default ID gets created, and it doesn't know about the old ID. And that's where all your data is :(

Did you try? firefox~bookmarks~manage bookmarks~File~Import~Browse~and look for your old bookmarks file?

Best thing to do is try and restore your system back to when you had the bookmarks. This has happened to me a couple of times.

I've look both in the Firefox Program folder and Application Data and I can't find anything.

This has happened before, and usually I just changed profiles back to the normal one, but this time no new profile was made..

*shrugs*

It used to happen to me, thought they had it fixed...

And how did you fix it?

It looks like System Restore is my only hope. I had too many WoW-related bookmarks I don't want to lose.

You could make a current restore point, then restore the system back to the old one. Export your bookmarks, and then restore back to the new one and import your bookmarks.

'Course, make sure to export them to something other than the hard drive, just to be sure...

Bah, I've found System Restore is turned off.

*sighs loudly*

Must have been since I "inherited" this PC from my dad. Never thought of looking to turn it on.
