Had to share a fun thing from the road this week....

Was near my house on Monday, waiting to turn left at a stoplight. Before the light turned green, a car pulled up next to me... on my left! `

Pulling a double-clutch, I checked to make sure I was in the correct lane. Sure enough, on my left were the double yellow lines. I looked over, and saw that the driver of the other car was someone's grandma... no, great-grandma... no, I'm pretty sure she was the earth mother.

Yep, she was sitting in the left-hand lane going the other way. I looked across the street, and saw someone else in that same left-hand lane. Life's not looking good... and as the light turned green and I started to roll forward, so did she.

I stopped. No need to get myself in trouble here. The guy on the other side saw what was happening, and drove around Mother Earth. We all went on our merry ways, and at the next <strike>life</strike> stoplight, I went any direction other than where she was going.

Can't wait to run into her on the street again... ;)

Ya. Like you'll be seeing her again. Trippy, yes, but let's hope she doesn't take someone else with her.

um, how are we hearing about this now, if you waited until the next life to avoid her?

Ya got me, Robert. I guess she surprised me enough that I inadvertently gave up a life. Text fixed... ;)

And for being the second biggest city in the state, with over half a million people, it's quite amazing how often you run into people you know... so there's a decent chance I'll see her again. I'll just have to make sure it's *before* the accident...

I had to read that twice to make sure I hadn't read it wrong. However, I've had close calls on my bike that made me think that I'd given up a life, or maybe just a few years off the one I've got now.

He died once and would have gotten a game over, had he not gotten the mushroom just past the pipe in 1-1. Fortunately, he ended up only using a life and got a do-over.
