I just finished the underdark and had the conversation with the Elves fighting the Drow. They asked me to help them - I agreed. My question is....how much time do I have to complete their request? I skipped a lot of the early quests and I want to finish them now...can I take my time getting back to the Elves?

I do not believe you are under a time limit to get back w/ the elves.

Plus, you'll want to finish up any side quests before Suldanesalar, as once you enter that quest it will be some time before you get back to Athkatla.

You can take as long as you like, and as Dundee said, after the way they treated you you can take your sweet time and not feel guilty about it.
