I tried to find a search function for this forum but came up empty so please excuse this if it has been asked before. I finished up the map for chapter 1/level on of BDSOA. I checked the walk through on this site and have done everything indicated abet not fully in the order stated. I'm having a problem finding the portal key in the main bedroom. I have retraced my steps, checked dropped treasure, but still have not found and cannot find the portal key anywhere in the main bedroom. I have patched the game up to the newest version and would really like to continue. If anyone can give me some advice on what I've done wrong I would appreaciate it. Thanks.

OK, by the main bedroom I hope you're talking about the one that is beyond the dryads and not the one that is before you get to them. IIRC, it is either in the locked chest at the end of the bed or the piece of furniture that is to the right of the bed. Once you put it in your inventory, you cannot remove it. IMO it doesn't really look like a key, but if you read the item description that's what it says it is.

Hmm, I would say that is part of it. I've been looking in the bedroom before with all the traps to no avail. Have not found any new doors. I don't normally ask for advice, but this was giving me some pains. It's been a long time since I played a rpg, must remeber to look more. Thanks for the info. Did not like the game a few years back when I installed it the first time. I'm really into it now, upsetting the little wife that I'm back here playing it so much.

Yeah, I know what you mean - my wife used to refer to the computer as "the bitch" because I spent more time with it than her :D Then she discovered the joys of online comics...... ;)

There's an opening in the south wall of the dryad's room. Be careful; if you thought the other bedroom had a lot of traps you ain't seen nuttin' yet [img]smile.gif[/img]

Both bedrooms have many traps, though..
But seriously. It should be in one of the chests near the bed. If not, you have a problem.
