Im stuck getting past the guardian, i have all six parts of the mask and have done an invisibility purge but how do i kill the fire guardian and open the door to get to the king's tomb?

If you're wearing the mask, the guardian will show up after a few seconds. It might be a bug, have you patched the game.

I believe you need to get in there and hack and slash him to pieces what is your party make up. I never rember having to much trouble with this one. If you are having trouble with this one do you know who you need to fight to finish this quest off. You may need to come back. But give your party for a little more help.

Random advice on this topic- Don't use fire based weapons

FWIW, it takes at least a +2 weapon to harm the guardian - all the mask does is allow you to see it.

The Mask didn't work for me, either--so I just repeated my tactic from my first game: I opened Guardian's door before I'd collected all the pieces of the Mask, so I was getting Fireballed by something I couldn't see. So I fired a couple Cloudkills into its room, slammed the doors, and went on my merry way. By the time I'd completed the Mask, I could see him, all right.....there on the floor...

i agree with sixofspades. i once thought of killing that invincible thingy with a fireball but nothing happened so i tried three casting of cloudkill... "now you see me now you dont"

On a side note. True Sight will dispel the Guardian's invisibility as well.

I was wondering, does the mask only allow u to see the invisible guardian, or does it also allow u to see other invisible creatures?

Only the Guardian as far as I know.
