Hmm, so most of you probably know about this little dandy on an annoyance, by now. A quick google check showed several ways of removing this little item, though I don't know what is trustworthy there. I could certainly use some tech help with getting rid of this crap off the family computer. (First visit home in months and I'm knee deep in fixing their computer). Thanks for any help in advance. Oh, and haven't been here in a couple of months, so "hello!"

Long time no see, Dron! Hope things are going well
First steps to cleaning up: Spybot and Ad Aware. Run 'em clean. Trend Micro now does an on-line spyware / malware scan too, so you can do that as well. HiJack This if it's still tricky and sticky. |
Whenever removing stuff like that always boot into SAFE mode is it isn't running in the background when you try to remove it.

I have this myself .. grrrr
any luck Dron cah? btw norton and ad-aware both luck out on this one :( |
Drew just uninstalled it...it has an uninstaller in its program folder...don't really know if that got rid of it for sure, though...

you will also need to clean itout of the registry, if you dont know how to do that, dont do it because may delete something that you actually need, but if you can it will be under HKey_Local and HKey_current User both will be under software > regfixer rule of thumb here, if you dont know, dont delete. Google is your friend as well for these as well as this site for the ext names..
