Ok I know I'm an odd person, but I decided to put up a thread about bananas... well actually it's about your favourite type of fruit and/or food. Lol I think it would be difficult just to put up a thread about bananas, although you can do many things with bananas ;)
So what kind of fruit and/or food do you like out there? There has to be a lot of culture within this lovely community of Ironworks... well of course I love bananas as my fruit but I also love my Kourabiethes (greek short bread biscuit that my Yaiyia [grandmother in greek] used to make all the time when I lived near her). And if anyone wants any greek recipes by the way I'm always willing to give you a few (*pleas note that I don't know all greek food recipes*). [ 08-12-2005, 07:16 AM: Message edited by: Lauren ] |

I'm rather partial to melons myself. You can do a lot of things with melons too. ;) Like juggling, smashing them with a hammer, the possibilities are endless y'know? :D [ 08-12-2005, 08:48 AM: Message edited by: Sigmar ] |
Banana, carrot and fish-sticks, lots and lots of fish-sticks! Secret to succsess M'e friend!!
:D |
Watermelon. Red, juicy, seedless watermelon. Could eat it for a long, long time...
I've even got my own process for slicing it into chunks. Takes about 20 total knife slices per quarter segment, and no muss or fuss. Mmmmm... getting hungry now... ;) |
My youngest daughter of 18 months has to have a banana every morning for breakfast. She looks for one as soon as she gets out of bed on top of the fridge.
As for me, I like apples, but with peanut butter on them for a great snack. If you are talking milk shakes, then mangos make great milk shakes. If you are talking juices...I love guava juice. Take note that where I lived for 19 years of my life...I only had access to what's considered "domestic" fruits. Now that I have been to Mexico, I realize how many great fruits are out there that never make it to a large percentage of homes in my area. It is a sad thing. |
Johnny will love this :D
What you need: 1x watermelon 1x plastic filler cone 1x knife 1x Gin, Vodka or other, preferably dry 1x Plastic bag 1x fridge Take the watermelon, and place it on the table. In it's most stable position, cut a small hole on the top just enough for the filler cone. Place filler cone inside so that it covers the hole nicely(so the watermelon doesn't spoil, place plastic bag around to seal it) and pour in 2dl(one fifth of a liter) of the preferred beverage and seal it with the bag. After thirty minutes, repeat the process. Do so until the bottle is empty. Place watermelon in the fridge, wait a few hours, then take out, slice and serve. Enjoy! I've made notes, Bozos. :D
Bananas scare me. |
Do bananas scare you because you always start comparing them to your own sexuality, or is it just that their peel can be dried for narcotics?
I forgot to add, in case of larger melons(above 3.5 kg) add another bottle. |
Dave the Quack is the only fruit for me, thanks.
