Reinstalling Windows 98 for a friend but I cannot seem to find the drivers for this little system anywhere. Not on the HP website or at Driverguide.com. On the offchance that someone has run into the same problem before, any help is appreciated. If not, anyone know if there is a way to install the onboard sound as a generic card in Win 98 like XP will sometimes do when lacking drivers? Basically I just need it to work as he is lacking sound and the drivers are nonexistant for download it seems.

P.S. He hasn't got his original HP disks anymore.

I'd try a generic Soundblaster-type driver. For something running an OS that old, it just may work.

This should do the trick.
