My party consists of minsc,yoshimo,jaheira,nalia,anomen and a 10th level lawful neutral fighter. I am considering having valygar as a party member and am seeking advise as to who in my group to dismiss? TIA

dismiss nalia, if you have her castle

Minsc or Yoshimo.
Don't want to have 4 fighter classes in the party.
No comment on Yoshimo, I just don't like him.

Kick out Yoshimo, sooner or later u will do that, trust me.

I'd get rid of Minsc, you already have Jaheira and Anomen they perform reasonably well in fights and your character is a fighter so really don't need him that badly. Other thatn that I'd agree with Jon Irenicus and dump Yoshimo you can get by with the thief skills Nalia has.

I nearly choked on my Coke when I saw that statement. If you had said Imoen, I would have agreed, but Nalia?!?! She is only a level 4 Thief! You will need her to be addicted to potions before she can even be considered useful for thieving purposes... ...

I will suggest Minsc if you plan on getting Imoen, otherwise I think Yoshimo.

I'd drop Minsc not Yoshimo. Personally I always like a thief in my party so I'd keep him. Drop Minsc as you're a fighter and as someone said Jaheria and Anomen are also decent in a fight.

Pfft if I can do it anyone can, just equip her with potions and any miscellaneous items like rings which increase thief skills, it's not that hard and besides you only really need open locks, trap finding can be done with a spell and as far as stealth and pick pocteks are concerned you don't actually NEED them. Hence my disclaimer that she needs to be addicted to potions. She will get pretty expensive though.

well as far as I can tell nalia is my only mage so she is a keeper at this point(althought better mages might be found without too much difficulty) as far as either dismissing minsc or yoshimo one individual said to kick out yoshimo as I would end up doing that eventually anyway. Maybe it would be best to have 3 fighters, one mage ,one priest and one thief? Hence anomen would be the best choice perhaps? (Add)---> scratch that... yes in keeping with my earlier choice of three fighters and one each of mage priest and thief I can see why minsc or yoshimo would be best.... decisions decisions decisions.....
I really need to learn the nuts and bolts of this game better dont I hahaha
