Finally can upgrade my home system! I currently have a 2.4Ghz with Rambus..ugh, ram. Here is a mix of what I am thinking of buying. I am going Intel, so don't waste your time talking me into AMD. The server is AMD.

Anyway, for the CPU, I chose the Northwood, because of the cooler temps and less leakage of currents. pqi Ram is the best you can get. These paired with my Geforce 6800 GT will make a kickass match. What do ya think?

ASUS P4C800-E Deluxe ATX Intel Motherboard

pqi TURBO 1GB (2 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Dual Channel Kit System Memory

intel Pentium 4 3.2 Northwood 800MHz FSB 512KB L2 Cache Socket 478 Processor

Will be overclocking CPU to 3.6Ghz.

Never heard of the RAM before Z. If you're buying a new motherboard you could go for the newer intel socket 775, as it generally (with the Prescott's) has better benchmarks, with equivelant processors. Also, that would allow you to get DDR2 RAM. What's your budget?

Worth a think about

I'm running that same memory. It OC's rather well, and doesn't cost next years tax return. Since you are going with that brand of proc, I've ended my !

Cannot do Socket T/LGA because my Geforce 6800GT is AGP. (T is all PCI-E)
