Where do I fing the quest to defeat Liches in the city?
What are recommendations to help defeat them?
I defeated the one in "city gates" but kinda cheated. I led it outside and then when the cowled wizards appeared my party ducked back inside the inn. I let them battle it out for a while. As a wizard was about to die I would finish it off to get the XP. Did the same to the lich at the last.
I dont think this will work for the other two liches in the city so any help would be appreciated. Thanks alot! I love this site.

I assume you mean the almighty "Restore Kangaxx's Body" quest.
Go to the docks district. Enter the house just left of Mea'Var's Guild, and go down the stairs.

That's certainly not cheating - although it is indeed very cheesy... Nothing wrong about that, though! :D

It won't.
If it's your first game, wait for a high level before fighting liches.
The special ability from the weapon you (hopefully) found behind the lich in the City Gates will also help A LOT.

One essential tactic for all nasty spellcasters is to keep them occupied by monster summonings. If you assure that they are on the front line the caster will most likely waste all his insta-death-destruction-or-deep-s*** spells on the poor but completely expendable summons. Be sure to have plenty so you are able to summon reserves during the battle. Liches has a lot of spells to waste.

If you plan on following this to the bitter end I would recommend that you start loading up on +4 and +5 weapons. (Yes I did say +4 and +5).

<Fontcolor="white"> Well always keep in mind that they cast time stop. So before they cast it make sure you are out of there line of site.. And if you have a charcter that has any kind of rage it is good to have this enabled as well since you will be protected from some of the mind effecting spells. And most of the liches will have protection from magical weapons before they die. So I would what until this would run out, then go in for the kill.</font>

And has for +4 to +5 weapons that you will need never forget about the cloak of the stars. Gives you some nice darts. And with the bag of holding you get a unlimited supply. And you will need a beserker to have a chance against him.
