It's pretty funny, because when I was in university I was sometimes so sure some of the reading material the professors handed out was just computer generated... Oh and here is the full paper... http://www.pdos.lcs.mit.edu/scigen/rooter.pdf |
Thanks Jorath, that was funny!

Someone deserves a medal for this! I took some time to read some of the paper... hilarious!!! Especially the charts.

Couldn't believe someone actually fall for those.

I had to stop myself from laughing out loud at work! Too funny!
That paper reminded me a lot of the book The Leaning Tower of Babel which describes the culture of education majors (principals, teachers, etc) as having a lot of babble that passes for research. |
How could they fall for that? It makes no sense at all.

They didn't if you read the article, they accepted it without waiting for reviewer feedback. That means, effectively no one from among the conference organisers read it, or knew anything about it. They accepted it on faith, which is unacceptable in itself.
That's why it's only worth reading articles from respected journals and conference proceedings. [ 04-17-2005, 06:30 PM: Message edited by: Vaskez ] |
