I have now run into three lichs in Athkatla, but dont know why they are here. there has got to be a quest or something but i cant find it. Also, where is Anarg of the Fallen Paladins in the bridge district? Im suppossed to kill him or something for the Radiant heart. Thanks! Ps Should I stick with Jaheira or pick up Anomen. My party now is fighter, Minsc, Keldorn, Yoshimo, and Nalia.

When you enter, with lietenunt aegisfield, head south to find anarg. yes, two of the liches, the ones guarding the sarcophacus, are part of a quest but the third is random.

Pick up whom ever you want and dump whom ever you want. just make a note where they will be after you dump them so you can have them rejoin later if and when
you weed out the traitors and crapy fighters that die to often! everyone that joins your team will bring a side quest to do, and that will extend game play and bring you new treasure and weapons.

Ahh, neither Minsc nor Viconia bring a quest with them. Unless you do the Viconia Romance or count getting Viconia in the first place a "quest." Same goes for Aerie, and I'm sure there are others. Sure Delon asks Minsc to go to the Umar Hills, but I think if you can do a quest without an NPC it's not "their" quest.
Dare I suggest Imoen? ::Scene shifts to three or four years ago, at some poor writer's cubicle::

"But... but when you get her you need to go to *SPOILER CENSORED* and get *CENSORED*! As if that wasn't enough, you need to do all that in *Censored* to get her! WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT FROM ME!"

At this point, the writer hangs himself.
They never got around to hiring another one, so we have no quests for some chars.
