Okie dokie, here's the dealio.
Our current *cough*unofficial*cough* chat-room is the pits. Chatting in it's a nightmare (due to lag, lack of message notification, etc) and it's about as new-age as the steam engine. This is the reason why I believe that many members are not using it, which is a shame considering I've had the oppertunity to occasionally converse with many of our newer members and they all seem like good eggs. But it's so bad that I'M barely there, which is really bad considering I used to essentially live in the old one. So I'm wondering, what are the options in terms of chatrooms? Preferably free ones. |
THere's a chatroom?

I like them too. When I get in there I really do like chatting with others. And every one is really good in there. I mean we do not bash others and no swearing. It is fun. I would also like to get something going. But it needs to be better quality.

Mack, that's exactly right. |
Yahoo groups?

Yes, this chatroom manages to put messages out of order. It's ridiculous.
Yahoo might be a good alternative, although we'd all have to get yahoo accounts (probably not a big deal anyways.) |
Doesn't MSN have some kind of option where you can create like a permanent chatroom or something ? Just guessing here...
|
Do you mean with MSN messenger? I didn't think there was. At least not on my crapper version.

Anyone ever tried Trillian? Its like a IM that allows you to chat with all of the different IMs out there. Such as AOL, MSN, Yahoo, ICQ and IRC. All with one messenger service. That could work maybe?
