If it's a matter of only activating a certain function, then why not give us the benefit of the doubt ? There's plenty of folks here who would really appreciate it, and i think it's pretty safe to say we'll make sure to keep it clean this time. In case of trouble, we'll notify you or one of the mods straight away, but why would there be any trouble to begin with ?

One thing to consider though is that it may result in a significant drop in forum posts, especially in GD - perhaps not so great for those users who don't wish to chat.

It couldn't lead to that much of a drop. I don't remember any huge drops when it was here before.

That wasn't the case back then, and i wouldn't know why it would be any different this time.
