Magic katanas are really rare. If you're playing SoA, I think Celestial Fury is the best one. I think there's a better one in ToB, but maybe I'm not remembering right. Celestial Fury's pretty darn good all the way around, though...I used it all the way through ToB.

I dunno about ToB, but if your character has any wizard's spell abilities - a multi-/dual classed MU or a bard - then Dakkon's Zerth Blade would be a good weapon to use for your off hand. It gives you spell bonuses much like a ring of wizardry. You have to have the bonus merchants installed to find it.

Hindo's doom is also a great +3Katana(can be upgraded to +4) the +4 one being able to cast greater restoration 1x per day, 10%magic resis when equip and imunity to all forms of death magic when equiped. combo???:))IMHO it is beter then celestialfury.

There is a good +2 katana in Spellhold behing one of the paintings. It's only +2 but it helps defense.

Along with the ones listed, I highly recommend <font color="palegreen">Gandorf's Weapons</font>. Many nice items including two katanas that compliment each other very well (one does extra fire damage, the other does extra ice damage).
