..So I had a small party with my friends. We listened to Queen - My friend has every Queen album - and chatted about stuff. It was pretty cool.

I just recenty opened my eyes to Queen. Never knew I'd start listening to them. I used to think that it's just some corny old band, but then I found out that Freddy had lots of talent. :D

Personally, my 3 favourite Queen songs are Innuendo(I wonder why that one never got popular?), Bohemian Rhapsody and Don't Stop Me Now, lyrics and music by Freddy for all of them. He seems to be a really smart guy to be able to write such cool lyrics. :D

Any Queen fans in the forum?

I'm a queen.

Uhh.. Fan. A queen fan - Yes....

Queen Rule I like 'I Want To Break Free' and the 2 latter you mentioned.

Although I wasn't a fan of 'We Will Rock You' or 'Radio Ga Ga'.

I'm a Queen fan as well. I remember being on the road the day he died, and when it was announced, I knew it was AIDS. Didn't know why, but it was the only thing that made sense.

A musical genius was laid to rest. :rip:

Freddy Mercury - the greatest legend of 20th century music. Rhapsody rules! And so does Bicycle

To each his own, I guess. I consider Michael Jackson to be a legend (at least) in 20th century music as well.

Heh, doesn't get much older than the Bohemian Rhapsody :D
I'm just listening to whatever Queen song I could scramp out of the chaos of my hard drive, and enjoying myself.
RIP Fred

Bohemian Rhapsody is the epitome of Queen.
They had some amazing other tracks also, such as i want to break free, and We will rock you.
Mercury was a great man, shame his life was cut short.

I thought we will rock you was EXCELLENT - the OZ production, anyway. Leonis (Yorick's brother) actually was a sound engineer for the cast afterparty on opening night here in Sydney.

What makes you think it wasn't? Just because you were too small to notice, doesn't mean it was never a hit. ;)
