<font color=skyblue>My sister sent a black pearl from Hawaii to my wife as a pendant necklace. I have been wondering about this thing and its value..as there is not many sightings of them in NC.

It is a dark grey pearl that is not quite round, but almost, and is 8mm, and has three noticeable defects.

How much do you think it is valued at in the US?

I have learned that it comes from a special oyster in french polynesia waters.</font>
