Allmost every darn afternoon at 5 pm am rushed with those they are all from newspaper sellers to phonecompany sellers who want you to change what you have today it is SO annoying that i dont have word for it!!
Do you have this in your place too?

get an unlisted number. I have one, nobody bothers me with crap like that. ;)

My caller ID shows who is calling before I answer. If it says "unavailable" I just don't pick up the phone. If they don't leave a message I figure it wasn't important in the first place.

How many people here drop what they're doing to run and answer the phone, no matter how inconvenient? I've always believed that since I'm paying for it, it's there for my convenience. If it rings when I can't get to it easily I don't even try, unless I know in advance there's an important call coming. Anybody else feel this way?

I always found that there is a delay in response between my "hello" and their response. Usually there is some background noise that tells me this is a salesperson. BANG! the phone is replaced.

I only answer if I reconize the name on the caller ID, if it's that importaint (like many of you have already said) they can leave a message. I really hate salescalls!

Yeah, sometimes these annoying call will come. but since my phone can see their numbers I don't have to answer their call for the 2nd time.

Yeah i hade that before and am wondring to get one again it is so many this days that i get wery annoyed also because they woke up the child who sleep and it is right after the work when i usualy take a nap on the sofa grrr!

Edit: And please DONT edit my post's Larry with your nasty font colors and so on it is even more annoying than the phones, i had to edit my first post back to the normale sheesh and i tink the word "darn" or "damn" can be use some times without any editing from you it only show how angry or annoyied you are and it will not be used more than once in the topic it is a way to show the meaning of your post, i know this is a family forum so i keep it to the minimum and those words are been used all over the forum all the time so if you like to edit them all please go a head then you have a hell of a job!!

I usually ask them for their number and tell them I will call them back at my convienance.

I kinda do the same thing for those credit card offers I get in the post. Basically I get some rubbish, put it in there reply paid envenlope, then pop it in the post.
