This is what most of my browsing looks like lately:

Pages load sometimes, other times not. Same with graphics/pictures. My messengers, especially AIM, lag incredibly too. I've had this on different connections, so it does seem specific to this computer. I've tried all the spyware/adware removal programs I can think of, but maybe I'm missing something. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I could try? I appreciate any help. [img]smile.gif[/img]

It looks like maybe your security settings are to high. Try this.

Go to Tools >Internet Options

Click on the Security Tab, Set all the defferent Zones to Default by pressing the Default level button.

Click on the Advanced Tab

Click on Restore Defaults.

Close IE and try again.

Hopefully this may help you.

Thanks TDC, I reset my security levels to default (they were indeed off), but not much seems to have changed. Could it be my in-built LAN, perhaps?

Is your connection dial-up or hi-speed? It looks like your browser is timing out while getting the graphics (since some are showing up).

If you're on dial-up, try a different number (if your ISP has different ones, that is). If you're on hi-speed... hmmm, I'm not sure. There are a number of things. Check your firewall settings, your encryption settings, the interference levels (if wireless).

Well looking at your browser it might be one of those times to check for spyware again ;)

Try all of what he said. Also is it only happening in IE? If you have another browser try that. Also does it happen on other pages or just IW?

I'm on the university's cable line, so I guess it is hi-speed. It happens on all pages. I haven't tried using another browser yet, but I'm thinking I might try that. Cheers. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Also has it always happend or is it something recent. Check with your Uni to see if they are having problems with the server and you may also want to check with your mates to see if its happening to them as well.
