I find this a bit disturbing really. "Can you paint a picture of the horrible things that happened to you so we can put it on an auction?" I mean, who would buy these pictures? I'd understand if there were just normal pictures... but I find this a bit sick... :(

That's a tad twisted, even by my own uber-liberal perceptions lol. Who'd want to own children's perceptions of their lives being threatened by terrorists on canvas and show it to guests?

I think pictures 1, 3 and 6 are incredible in their own right. Creative/artistic expression can be a good way of dealing with pain. Also, great art often comes from suffering.
