No other web pages except IW are working for me. Neither is mIRC, yet msn is. It's quite annoying. The net has been cut off all day due to BT doing some repairs or something in my area, but on my other computer I can get on any page, just on this one only IW. Anyone care to explain what's up?

Maybe some nerfed security settings with privacy, allowed sites and all that? Firewall blocks could be, but yoi'd be informed in that case.

it's the weather. seriously, i just don't know. wait awhile and it will clear up.

Ok. Il try switching firewall off, Im through a router so I can live without it. Although I havent changed any settings on it.

edit:cheers Bozos, that worked. Guess Il just stick with hardware firewall until tomorow, when I have time to sort ZA out.

There is a setting in IE that lists banned sites. If you're trying to access a page on one of those sites, you go nowhere. The list shows up in the Privacy Report (little icon like an eyeball on the bottom of the window).

You can update the banned list if you want in Tools, Internet Options.

I was using firefox and it turned out to be a problem of the site itself.
