@Thread starter: First take care of his golems, as they can do heavy damage quickly. Originally, you should have been able to do that via dialog (and even turn them against their creator), but that's now impossible. Then pound on the drow with everything you've got, he should fall quickly. You'll find out that he was only a Simulacrum and that you have to fight again; if you're lucky (i.e. no Hostile Svirfneblin running around), you'll be able to save at that point. Then just gang up on the real Malavon (that's where I was lucky and turned him to ice with the Frostmaiden's Reaver). Using summon to absorb his initial waves of spells might be a good choice too.

It is a well-known fact that if you come close to defeating him, your PC self-combusts, hence it is best if you uninstall the game.
