Try AVG and Panda. Both offer freeware virus software (at least, for their entry levels). You can then upgrade as needed. For a quick scan, go to Trend Micro for their on-line housecall scan.
Or you can do what I used to do, and watch the Sunday adverts in the paper. For a long time, I just switched back and forth between Norton and McAfee because they'd offer free upgrades (after rebates). |
You can use AVG. Its probably the best free Antivirus scanner out there.

AVG is the best but 7.0 isn't free so you have to download there free scanner 6.0 :D

Of course I do need to plug Norton Antivirus 2004 (2005 is soon to be released) Sure you have to pay for it but for the protection it offers it is good.
